Step 19 – Greet the guests & mum-to-be
 
Make sure you are playing some music in the background to create a nice atmosphere. We particularly like laid-back sounds such as Norah Jones or a bit of Frank Sinatra, but really anything goes!
 
If it is during the colder months you may want to make sure there is somewhere to put people’s coats, even if it is just on a bed in the spare bedroom.
 
As each guest arrives, offer them a drink and introduce them to other guests in the room. If the shower is a surprise, fill them in on when and how the mum-to-be is expected to arrive.
