baby showers - frequently asked questions

What day of the week, what time of day and for how long?

Baby showers can be held at any time depending on what sort of event you want it to be. For example, a tea-party theme would be ideal to start at around 2pm on a Saturday (this kind of time is most usual), but you might want more of a party-feel to it, so could make it in the evening starting at around 7pm. The nature of the party means people are unlikely to be drinking too much so even a weekday evening could be suitable, but you may want it at the weekend to allow for travelling time of guests who have far to travel. Two or three hours is usually long enough for a baby shower as the mum-to-be can get exhausted with all the excitement!
