16 - What if the baby cries?
It is considered to be very lucky if the baby cries at a
christening, but we're not sure how much of a consolation
that will be if it happens at your naming celebration. The
answer to that question really is - Don't worry! As long
as you have done everything beforehand to make sure that
your baby isn't tired, hungry, hot, cold, uncomfortable
or needs their nappy changing, then you have done your best.
If your baby has colic or is teething then it might be harder
for you, but people will understand.
