When should you have a naming celebration
for your baby?
There are no rules as
to when to have a naming celebration for your child, but
we recommend you see what feels right for you and your child.
The first month or two with you're a new baby are likely
to be the hardest, but once you feel more settled, you might
feel that you are ready for a celebration of your new addition!
This is probably the best plan if you really want to mark
the birth, and for your baby to still be small enough to
comfortably hold for the duration of the ceremony! Other
parents wait until around the time of the child's first
birthday, but just bare in mind that junior could be walking
by then! Other parents don‚t rush into it, and like
to make the celebration at a time that's right for them
- it's not unheard of for children as old as four to have
a naming celebration. Some parents simply don't get around
to arranging it for their first child, but decide to have
a joint celebration when they have their next child.
