We
chose my sister and two close friends to be Charlie's
Supporting Adults. However, we find 'Supporting Adults'
a bit of a mouthful, so we refer to all of them as
Aunty or Uncle. It's a nice way to include them, and
easier for someone so young to understand. We were
planning the ceremony to co-incide with Charlie's
first birthday, and arranged to meet with a Humanist
celebrant. Unfortunately the particular celebrant
we met just wasn't what we were looking for. In the
end, we decided to wait until we have our next child,
and we will do something special for them both at
the same time. We will probably use a celebrant from
Civil Ceremonies and have a big party at home!
